Our Favorite Baby Items for Baby No. 2

January 7, 2018

Yes it’s true, there are a million blog posts about “Favorite Baby Items” but I am going to share with you the products we love and why. I think it’s so important that every Mom & Dad find what works for them and their sweet babes. With that being said, I only share items that we love and trust.

We had our second baby almost four months ago and when she came along it had been six years since we’d had a baby in the house. Which was just long enough for us to get rid of every baby item we owned (minus the baby clothes I hoarded of course). Nevertheless, starting fresh was fun since I knew so much more this time around. Things have changed so much in baby land in the last six years. Technology is better, materials are better, essential oils are a huge thing and more “natural” parenting is widely accepted. I am so excited to get another go around with all things baby. See my list below of our favorites so far with baby No. 2!

Favorite Baby Items

Copper Pearl Bandana Bibs-  These little bibs are amazing.  They not only are soft and wash well but most importantly they are SUPER absorbent. We use them when feeding and for drooling and they’ve worked so well.  We have yet to find a bib style or material that works better than what these bibs offer.

Little Unicorn Backpack Diaper Bag –  I cannot say enough about this diaper bag. I will never choose another diaper bag that is not a backpack again. Not only does this bag have pockets a plenty but it also has side zip pockets for wipes and things you need to access easily. We put wipes in one side pocket and pacifiers and bows in the other. I get so many compliments on this bag and recommend it to every person I know who is having a baby. Little Unicorn products are fantastic quality which makes this a great baby buy.

Ryan & Rose Pacifier Clips  Don’t want to lose it? Cutie clip it! And we do.. we cutie clip just about anything our little miss is playing with or needs to hold onto. Including blankets, toys, pacifiers or just about anything we don’t want hitting the ground or getting lost. There are so many styles and colors to choose from it makes gifting one so easy.

Ryan & Rose Teether Rattle – This one is a gift I will get for all expecting parents I know. It’s THAT good. This teether rattle is flexible, durable and dishwasher safe. It is so easy to keep clean and we use the cutie clips to clip it onto our stroller, car seat and baby wrap to make sure we don’t lose or drop it. Also, this may seem crazy to some but nearly every baby rattle I have found is either incredibly annoying in sound or it has almost no sound. This rattle has the most pleasant sound which is a major plus to me. Check it out!

Cetaphil Baby Wash & Lotion  If your baby is like mine they have sensitive skin. These Cetaphil products have worked wonders for my daughter’s skin. In the beginning we dealt with pretty severe dry skin, eczema and milk bumps and this baby wash made all of that go away. Perfectly soft, moisturized and smooth skin is what this baby wash leaves behind. And on top of it being effective it also smells SO good!

Lollipop Baby Monitor & Sensor  The ease that comes along with this monitor is unparalleled. It can tell you things like room temp, when your baby is crying and more on the phone/tablet app. If you are looking for a monitor that is fresh and can fit any space, this is it.

Tiny Heir Rose Gold Tassel Mocs  Our girl was born with long skinny feet. I bought four pairs of Mocs that I could not wait for her to wear that she will never be able to wear because of the overly wide style. I have yet to find a brand of Mocs that fit better or more true to size than these. The leather is genuine and so soft and flexible. The color goes with nearly every outfit and this shop has so many cute options.

Comotomo Bottles  These bottles were our second brand of bottle to use with our new baby and so far have proven to be a worthy investment. We do not deal with leaking or spit up from these bottles with our messy eater. Shown above is the 8 ounce version but they also come in a smaller version for brand new babes. You can also add a handle for self feeding! I am a big review reader and I found that across the board these bottles have received great reviews.

Dock A Tot Although we haven’t been using the Dock A Tot very long we adore already it. The cover is removable/washable and so durable. There are also super cute covers you can buy for it to change the look. Our girl loves it just as much and sleeps so comfortably in it. This is a MUST have baby item.

Poppy Lane & C0. Bracelet We can’t get enough of these bracelets. They are safe, tough and such good quality. My daughter and I have the Sterling Silver 5MM matching bracelets and never take them off. The company offers lots of color and metal options. These make a great gift no matter how small the baby since they come available for Newborns to adults. This will be a collection that we add to and update as my daughter grows.

Bumbo Multi Seat – My son had a Bumbo six years ago too but it was nothing like this fantastic little seat that Bumbo makes now. This sleek seat can be fastened to a chair to serve as a booster and even has a tray that locks on when needed. When you aren’t using the tray it slides onto the back of the chair for easy storage. My daughter isn’t eating foods yet but when she does I know this seat will make it so much easier. We use it now to allow her to supportively sit up and look around which she loves. We use the tray to hold toys and even clip them to the safety belt so they don’t get dropped or lost.

Chicco Keyfit 30 CarseatWhen it came time to choose a car seat I already knew Chicco was a great choice since it is what we used with my son. We chose this one because of our previous experience with Chicco but also because of the detachable cover. We live in Colorado where the temps dip down below zero. This cover is so easy to attach/remove and it keeps my sweet girl so warm and protected from the snow, rain and wind. This seat also has very high safety ratings and very good reviews.

I’d love to know what your favorite baby items are! Comment below if there is something you just can’t live without for your sweet babes. Also if you have any questions about how well things have worked for us or want to know more about why we love them so much please don’t hesitate to ask!

All my love!

I have used citaphil lotion for my baby. The only cream which worked for him. It’s so effective that I use it on myself too. Great list.

Ha! Is it completely horrible if this post makes me want to have a baby again just because of how adorable these items are?? I mean I just love the bandana bibs! And I did get to use the beaded wooden pacifier clip on my last baby 🙂 It was awesome!
